  The pioneering spirit. More than 45 years of experience

  In 1961 the first self propelled forage harvester made its appearance in the large fields of North America. It was a New Holland, Model SP 818. For more than 45 years, New Holland has been the leading brand, at the core of every major development in the forage harvesting activity, probably introducing more ground-breaking features than all other manufacturers together: multi-purpose crop attachments, industrial type engines, the metal detector, the automatic knife sharpening and shearbar adjustment.
