LUGANO, Switzerland – (May 18, 2009) – New Holland Agriculture took part, at the end of April, in the first edition of the EIMA Gulf in Abu Dhabi. The agricultural exhibition was organized under the guidance of the Eima International show, the Italian trade fair for agricultural machinery organized by UNACOMA, Italy's National Union of Agricultural Machine Manufacturers, a member of the European committee of agricultural machine manufacturer associations.
Held in Abu Dhabi's newest National Exhibition Centre, the fair aims to become the new focal point for agricultural equipment companies and professionals interested in developing businesses in the United Arab Emirates - at the heart of the Gulf region and one of the countries with the highest economic growth rates in the world – in the Middle East and in central and eastern Africa.
New Holland presented the successful TD tractor series, with a five-model line-up ranging from 59 to 98 hp and the proven and maneuverable TDD tractor series, comprising five models from 59 to 98 hp. A small square baler was also on display, which exemplified New Holland's wide product offering in this segment.
During the fair, the brand organized its Africa & Middle East distributor meeting to further plan and structure its actions in the area, as well as to assist its customers in developing their business. Projects focused on developing agricultural mechanization in various Middle Eastern and African countries were presented to the audience.
New Holland's stand hosted 50 key customers from the Gulf area and East African countries during the event
New Holland’s operations in Africa and the Middle East are managed from CNH International's offices in Istanbul, Turkey, and from the representative offices in Johannesburg, South Africa. The company is present in more than 190 locations throughout the area through importers, dealers and sub-dealers.
