After winning the “Tractor of the Year 2010” and “Golden Tractor for Design” titles, the New Holland T7000 Auto Command has crowned its triumphal debut at Agritechnica with the “2010 Machine of the Year” award for the medium-high power tractor category.
The “Machine of the Year” award is promoted by German specialist publishers Deutscher Landwirtschaftsverlag and awarded by a jury of independent journalists with expert knowledge of the sector. The award has 14 different categories and aims to pick out the models destined for market distribution, in which a wealth of technological innovations will signify immediate practical benefits for farmers.
Innovation and convenience were the characteristics that brought the T7000 Auto Command this sought-after award. Reasons stated by the jury for their decision include:
- New operating mode, thanks to the new SideWinder II console with CommandGrip control lever and Intelliview III touch-screen video. Intelliview works alongside the controls of the tractor and attachments, as well as those of the automatic steering systems and is the only one of its kind available on the market today.
- Greater operating safety thanks to the new ABS SuperSteer system that means the tractor can also be steered using the brakes
- Immediate attachment recognition thanks to the ISOBUS terminal
- Greater operating versatility and comfort, thanks to the new, second-generation continuously variable transmission.
“This additional award assigned to our T7000 Auto Command was a fitting completion to this year’s Agritechnica which was already full of successes and prizes," stated Carlo Lambro, Vice President of New Holland Europe, at the end of the prize-giving ceremony.
“Not only does it recognise our commitment to supplying our customers with user-friendly solutions and state-of-the-art technology, it is also a well-earned reward for the impressive team work by the whole brand and the Fiat Group, without which this extraordinary tractor could not have been built.”
