New Holland ‘In Bloom’ In Ireland

New Holland ‘In Bloom’ In IrelandFollowing the success of last year’s event, New Holland Agriculture returned to Ireland’s largest garden festival ‘Bloom’ this summer – and 2011 did not disappoint.

New Holland, which again was the only tractor manufacturer among the 400 exhibitors, chose this event to unveil for the first time in the Republic of Ireland its new Rustler utility vehicle and TZ24 compact tractor, both of which attracted great enthusiasm among the crowds. Designed to offer the lightweight performance of a dedicated ride-on lawn tractor, the TZ24 offers unbeatable combination of high performance, comfort and agility.

This proved to be a sound decision, as Bloom was once more highly successful for New Holland. Area Sales Manager James Carroll commented: “Bloom is Ireland’s equivalent of the Chelsea Flower Show in the UK – it is attended by people from all walks of life with an interest in horticulture. The new TZ24 was absolutely well accepted and we have already sold the first units. The beauty of the TZ24 is that it’s more than just a ride-on mower. It’s got a rear three point linkage to give a powerful 715kg lift capacity and also has an independent Power Take Off to power a range of mounted equipment.

“Similarly, visitors liked the specification of the new Rustler and some of them decided for a purchase on site. I have great confidence in both products as we release them in dealerships this month." New Holland’s Rustler is robust in design, offering an impressive CVT transmission and all-wheel-drive traction control, delivering the smoothest ride in its class.

The Bloom show provides an effective platform to raise awareness of New Holland's groundcare offering. Around 90,000 visitors packed into this year’s event held from 2 - 6 June across a 70 acre site at the Phoenix Park Visitors Centre in Dublin, a huge 50 per cent increase on last year’s figure of 60,000 visitors. A daily record of 22,000 visitors attended the event on the Saturday alone, and media from across the globe were also present, including TV crews from China, the Netherlands and the Middle East.

“Given New Holland’s success at Bloom over the past two years, I very much look forward to attending next year’s event, which will be held between 31 May and 4 June and for which was have already begun planning,” concluded James Carroll.

The stand was supported by several New Holland Groundcare dealers, who made the most of this opportunity to showcase the products and services they are able to offer the horticultural sector. Among the dealers present were Kellys of Kilcock Co. Kildare; Armstronge Machinery Naul Co. Dublin; William Foster Arklow Co. Wicklow; and Adare Farm Machinery Adare Co. Limerick.
