Dumfries and Galloway police use New Holland tractor in crime fight
A New Holland T6020 is being drafted in to help Scotland's smallest police force in the fight against crime in the countryside
Dumfries and Galloway (South West Scotland) Constabulary intends to take the tractor out to agricultural shows across the region to help raise awareness of crime prevention measures which can be taken in rural areas.
The T6020 was supplied by the New Holland dealer Lloyds Tractors . Inspector Cook stressed that its role was strictly for publicity and awareness-raising, not operational matters. Its first official outing was at the annual Guid Nychburris day parade in Dumfries last weekend.
