New Holland topping the league, says Premier football club
New Holland topping the league, says Premier football clubNew Holland Groundcare is firmly in the top flight, according to Premier League football club Stoke City which has been using its Boomer 3050 tractor.

The company’s reputation for reliability was a key factor in opting for the machine at the start of this season to replace an 11-year-old New Holland TC27 model.

Options such as the programmable speed settings help achieve a neat finish and save time by being able to save them in its memory – important for a club that needs the best results for its players and is competing with the elite.

The Boomer 3050 was bought from Campey Turf Care Systems, a Cheshire-based New Holland dealer, and after nearly eight months’ use has inspired confident praise.

Head Groundsman Andy Jackson said: “We knew the brand and have used New Holland before and they have been very reliable. With the new tractor the easy drive was very useful, and being able to programme settings into it.

“We have found it really beneficial and working with the pitch it’s been really good. I think it’s very reliable – the name speaks for itself and we have not had any problems.”

Another satisfied customer was leading UK sports field contractor J. Pugh-Lewis Ltd, based in Chesterfield. It bought from Campey Turf Care Systems a pair of T5060 tractors to add to the 13 New Holland tractors it has already.

Managing Director James Pugh-Lewis said: “Where we have come to want some fresh tractors the T5060 was the natural choice. We are happy with New Holland – we have had no reason to change.

“They are just a good workhorse – they are simple and with the specifications we have got, such as the mechanical linkages, they are simple and easy to operate.”

New Holland Compact Tractor Product Specialist Steve Basnett said: “We’re very proud of our machinery and to get such a warm response from customers who had such high expectations and standards is a great result.

“The fact that they both had such a good experience with our equipment and that they had the confidence to come back to us for more shows we are keeping our own standards high.

“We are building on our reputation for leading in excellence and reliability and we intend to keep that up.”
