New Holland Agriculture has further expanded its T7000 tractor family. The new T7000 Power Command™ SideWinder™ II models offer customers a proven, full powershift transmission built on established components for maximum durability. Inside the cab, the operator will experience the perfect interface between driver and tractor - the innovative Sidewinder™ II armrest.
Sidewinder II armrest: the perfect partner
All T7000 Power Command tractors specified with electronic remote valves will include, as standard, the SideWinder II console.
Introduced on the T7000 AutoCommand tractors, the latest SideWinder™ II brings class leading ergonomics to a powershift tractor. Its logical, ergonomic layout ensures comfort during long working hours with all the controls falling naturally to the driver’s hand for quick, confident operation and minimum movement required for common operations.
The armrest, which can be moved towards or away from the operator at the touch of a button, houses the CommandGrip™ multifunction handle, an optional joystick, rear linkage EDC mouse, controls for the remote valves, front and rear PTO and the IntelliView™ III colour display.
The multi-function CommandGrip™ handle derives from the brand's renowned FR9000 forage harvester and the new T7000 Auto Command range. The handle incorporates controls for gear shifting, including auto-shifting and shuttling, rear linkage raise/lower, two sets of remote valves, guidance engagement as well as Headland Turn Sequencing. An adjustable wrist rest ensures comfort for drivers of all sizes.
Single digit set up
Just point your finger, touch the Intelliview III screen, go straight to the simple set up menus and you can configure the tractor to your implement in seconds.
The IntelliView™ III touch screen presents detailed information on all the tractor’s functions in a clear, easy-to-use format. Set engine speeds, remote time and flow, auto gear shift points and even recall three-point-linkage settings can all be done quickly and simply without any complex navigation routine using buttons or dials. For those seed or fertiliser rate calculations, we’ve even installed a calculator on the IntelliView III.
The display is also an interface for New Holland’s IntelliSteer guidance system, available as factory-fit or dealer-fit options. This avoids the extra purchase cost and installation of a second dedicated guidance screen to the cab.
In addition to the SideWinder™ II, the new T7000 models can be equipped with a selection of new options. These include up to 6 Xenon HID lights, heated front and rear screens and a leather driver and passenger seat package.
Any 50 kph tractor receives front brakes, air brakes and an exhaust brake. The exhaust brake is a commercial vehicle feature that is operated by a pedal to the left of the clutch pedal. This feature can be used to hold the tractor’s speed while descending a gradual incline, rather than applying the normal service brakes.
T7000 models equipped with mechanical remote valves retain the existing cab interior but with the added options now of an IntellView™ III screen and IntelliSteer™.
Built on success
The new T7000 SideWinder™ II models build upon the success of the T7000 tractor introduced in 2007 and winner of the Agritechinca Tractor of the Year and Golden Tractor Award for Design in 2008. For 2009, the T7000 was awarded a RASE silver medal after judges visited customers. All praised the comfort levels found within the industry’s quietest cab with a noise rating of just 69 dB(A).
