Small acreage or part-time farmers who want to do their own baling can now take advantage of the industry's leading round baler line. New Holland's new Roll-Belt™ 450 utility round baler features New Holland's proven Roll-Belt performance with an economy price tag. The Roll-Belt 450 makes dense, weather-resistant, 4' x 5' round bales and only requires a 40-hp tractor.
"Haymakers who are looking to make quality hay when it's ready to bale, instead of being at the mercy of a custom baler's schedule, now have an affordable round baler option," says Mike Cornman, New Holland Hay and Forage Segment Marketing Manager.
The Roll-Belt 450 features a simple design and New Holland reliability at a budget-pleasing price. The baler's wide SuperSweep™ pickup uses curved tines to gather all of the valuable crop and feed it into the baler. It even picks up the fines that other balers miss.
The proven New Holland Roll-Belt design creates solid, well-formed, weather-resistant bales. Five nylon/polyester Mini Rough Top belts grip the crop and carry it upward into the core forming area.
Compared to other round balers, the Roll-Belt 450's combination of steel forming rolls, steel floor roll and belts produce faster core starts and higher bale densities. These belts are 100 inches shorter for less stretch, so they don't need to be resized as often as the belts of other manufacturers, which saves time and money for the farmer.
Additionally, the hydraulic bale density system is sealed and easily adjusts without tools. This enables the operator to quickly change settings for crop conditions or to compensate for the capacity of bale handling equipment.
