With wider feedrolls than competitive models and the widest, largest-diameter cutterhead in the business, New Holland FR harvesters have a giant appetite for work and the largest capacity available. The massive 34-inch-wide, 28-inch-diameter cutterhead uses a chevron pattern of knives to chop cleanly and quickly. Sixteen- or 24-knife cutterheads are available to meet specific chopping needs.

ADJUST LENGTH OF CUT AND FEEDROLL SPEED

Making cutting adjustments on the go is easy in FR Series harvesters. The proven Hydroloc™ feedroll drive system allows you to adjust length of cut to match crop conditions. The optional Dual Drive allows you to adjust header speed, from the cab, independently of feedroll speed, for optimum chopping.

EASY KNIFE SHARPENING

A hydraulically controlled sharpening system delivers positive, high-speed knife sharpening. Plus, a new stone door hydraulically lifts open to reduce binding and speed up the sharpening process.

NEW SYSTEM AVOIDS DAMAGE FROM STRAY METAL

Superior cutterhead protection is standard, thanks to the Metaloc™ metal detection system. If ferrous metal enters the machine, the system stops the feedrolls in milli-seconds, before damage occurs. With six detections zones, the IntelliView™ monitor shows the operator where the metal is located, to assist in fast removal and allow you to get back to chopping.
