Maximize the performance of your H8000 Series Speedrower® self-propelled windrower with a new Durabine™ disc mower-conditioner head. Durabine heads feature a more rugged frame, larger, heavier-duty cutterbar components, a new full-length crop flow auger and more. The new design provides increased durability, cleaner cutting and more efficient crop flow. The result? The high capacity and productivity demanded by high-volume producers and commercial operators.
WELCOME TO THE WIDEST DISC CUT IN THE INDUSTRY
With a cutting width of 19’4”, the 12-disc Durabine™ 419 cuts wider than any disc head in the business, so you can knock down more acres per hour than ever before. Or choose the 10-disc Durabine™ 416 to slice through 16 feet of crop at a clip. Both heads use pairs of counter-rotating discs and full-length augers for cleaner cutting in all crops, ultra-smooth crop flow and better formation of fast-drying swaths or windrows. You can adjust windrow/swath width easily without tools—from a wide 96-inch swath to a narrow 38-inch windrow. Optional electric windrow shield adjustment allows for on the go changes from the cab.

BUILT-IN DURABILITY
Durabine™ disc heads were designed with high-acreage, high-volume producers and commercial hay operators in mind. That means it’s ready for day-in, day-out operation in demanding conditions. New Holland engineers designed durability and high performance into every component, and testing show that crop flows more quickly and smoothly through a Durabine head than other designs.
STYLE AND FUNCTION
The attractive new Durabine styling isn’t just for looks. The new shape actually helps the machine perform better. The entire hood is higher than previous disc heads, providing extra room for crop and air to flow. In addition, the hood extends further forward of the cutterbar, providing room for crop to spring up after passing under the safety curtain. This leads to improved air and crop flow and cleaner cutting. The new, black poly, right-side end shield resists impact and lifts up smoothly on a gas strut for quick access to the conditioning and crop flow auger drive system.
LONGER, STRONGER CROP FLOW AUGER
Durabine augers are full-length. That means they extend from the center of the right outer disc to the center of the left outer disc. And, these heavy-duty augers feature thick, 5/16-inch flighting supported on the back side with an additional bracer. The auger moves the heaviest of crops with ease, sweeping the cut crop immediately away from the discs and directing it smoothly to the conditioning system and into a uniform windrow or swath. An inherent benefit of the performance of the full-length auger is there is no need to use co-rotating discs to help direct crop flow. Both Durabine heads use pairs of counter-rotating discs for the cleanest cut possible and unmatched crop flow.
DOUBLE THE KNIFE LIFE
Reversible, swing-away, 18-degree twist knives are standard and feature a cutting edge on both sides for twice the cutting life when flipped. For operators concerned with ash content in hay, 7-degree knives are available. They generate less air force near the soil and lift less dust to decrease ash content in feed. H8000 Series windrowers allow you to adjust cutting angle with a tilt switch on the multi-function handle. A tilt angle indicator is on the header and is visible through the front windshield. A power reverser switch allows you to expel crop slugs without leaving the cab. At the touch of a button, the conditioning rolls, auger, and discs reverse to remove plugs in seconds.
CLEANER CUTTING
This crop flow auger actually helps the discs do a better mowing job, because the auger rapidly moves the cut crop away from the discs and prevents it from pushing down the incoming crop. This leads to the cleanest disc cutting ever, for greater overall capacity. Since it’s not the discs’s job to distribute crop to the conditioning rolls, there’s no need to use co-rotating discs. Durabine heads use pairs of counter-rotating discs—the smoothest way to cut cleanly.
BETTER SWATH OR WINDROW FORMATION FOR FASTER DRYDOWN
The 20-inch, floating auger features thick, 5/16-inch flighting with additional reinforcement on the back side. The heavy-duty, full-length auger easily moves the heaviest crops and delivers them smoothly and evenly to the conditioning system for ultimate control of windrow and swath formation.
CHEVRON-DESIGN ROLLS — RUBBER OR STEEL
The legendary chevron–design, rubber intermeshing rolls crack, crush, and interrupt the waxy coating along the entire length of the plant stem, for fast drydown but gentle leaf retention. This proven system is best for legume crops and legume grass crop mixtures. Steel chevron intermeshing rolls are best suited for winter forages, cane type crops, grass hays and abrasive conditions.
