Canadian Farmer Wins F-150 Truck in New Holland Inspection Contest
F-150 Winner

New Holland, PA (April 23, 2009) - For three generations, Canadian farmer Douglas Irving's family has pledged its commitment to using New Holland parts and service for its tractors. And, this month, that commitment paid off for the 20-year-old Canadian farmer in a big way.

As the winner of New Holland's "Test It Before You Rest It" inspection event, Irving, of Miramichi, New Brunswick, received a new Ford F-150 truck, valued at more than $21,000 CDN. The promotion, which ran from October 15, 2008, through February 28, 2009, encouraged New Holland customers to schedule maintenance inspections and use genuine New Holland parts to ensure peak performance during the upcoming farm season.

"My family's relationship with our New Holland dealer goes back 60 years," said Irving, who bought a new tractor from Bremner Farms Ltd. in Napan, N.B., last fall. "Their maintenance, service and parts are always top-notch." Irving says, just like his father and grandfather before him, he believes strongly in regular maintenance inspections and using New Holland genuine parts, which are key points of the "Test It Before You Rest It" campaign.

"Mr. Irving’s strong belief in regular maintenance inspections and the importance of using genuine New Holland parts represents the high standards that contribute to the success achieved by so many of our customers," said Eric Bippus, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for CNH Parts and Service, through which the "Test It Before You Rest It" promotion is being offered. "We are proud to have customers of this caliber, and to be able to continuously provide them with those services and genuine New Holland parts that contribute to their success."

Irving entered the contest when he traded his old tractor at the dealership and bought his new one. His name was drawn from more than 13,000 entrants in North America. The contest was largely promoted in-store at New Holland dealerships throughout Canada and the U.S.

To help customers during harvesting season, New Holland is currently promoting the "Haymaker Savings Days" sales event. From now through May 31, 2009, New Holland customers can enter to win a fully stocked New Holland toolbox.
