Gerry Manuel
Gerry was born and raised in a family of farmers in Zimbabwe. He has been working in Agriculture for 45 years, and today he runs the Juggler Investments P/L Farm, founded and owned by his younger brother, in Harare. He and more than one hundred employees work on the farm, that extends to 22 acres of agricultural land planted with maize, soya beans, tomatoes, potatoes, onions and cabbage. His farm manages the whole supply chain, from the fields to the market and the single consumer. He has indeed a significant role among the residents, growing and selling top-quality vegetables to nourish the entire community. The families of workers also take part in the harvest, which, amazingly enough, is made manually for the most part: a sense of collaboration pervades the farm, helping the community face the hard conditions of farming in Africa.
