NEW HOLLAND HAYTOOLS FACTORY TOUR

New Holland, Pennsylvania is the home and headquarters of the New Holland Agriculture and Construction brands in North America and the global Center of Excellence for Hay and Forage. At this site, the expertise of engineering, research and development, sales and marketing and manufacturing operations come together to produce the world’s No. 1 haytools products.

Plant History

The New Holland haytools plant traces its roots to 1895 when a two-man machinery repair shop was founded by master machinist and inventor, Abe Zimmerman. Through the years, New Holland became known as the leader in hay and forage technology, pioneering many firsts following the purchase of Lancaster County farmer Ed Nolt’s invention of the first commercially viable automatic self-tie baler in 1940.
Nolt’s automatic self-tie baler revolutionized haymaking and put New Holland on the map. Today, the New Holland plant produces 30 different models of round balers, square balers, pull-type forage harvesters and other haytools exported to 45 countries around the world.


Tour Schedule

Regular factory tours are currently available Tuesdays and Thursdays at 1 p.m. during normal plant operation. A typical tour last one to one and a half hours.

No tours will be available the following dates:

November 9 to 12, 2015
November 26 to December 2, 2015
December 21, 2015 to January 1, 2016

Tour schedule subject to change based on plant operation. The New Holland Hayrools Factory tour takes place inside our working hay tools factory. This means that our tours cannot always take place as scheduled. We always recommend that you call our tour center to confirm before you arrive.

Safety First

The New Holland Haytools Factory Tour is an industrial environment and the safety of our guests and employees is our No. 1 priority. Please follow the safety rules:

• Open-toed shoes and sandals are not permitted.
• Children under the age of 12 are not allowed on the factory tour.
• Safety glasses are mandatory in the plant, and are provided for use during the tour.
