The first New Holland T5 Dual Command in Australia has been put to work on a Tullamore beef property, marking the arrival of the new series in dealerships nationwide.
Delivered by Trevor Vanderheyden, Sales Representative at Gendore Tractors and Machinery in Tooradin, Victoria, the T5.100 was purchased by local beef producer Dan Kelly, who runs 150 acres of cattle.
Trevor said the T5 is one of the dealership’s most popular tractors, with the latest improvements delivering practical gains in everyday operation and productivity.
“The T5 has always been our bread-and-butter model. It's a high-quality, compact, high-horsepower manoeuvrable tractor, which is perfect for beef farmers,” Trevor said.
Dan upgraded from a five-year-old New Holland T5.100S, and now uses the new T5.100 daily for feeding cattle, handling hay bales, operating a trailing feed cart, loader work and general farm maintenance.
Having accumulated around 3,000 hours on his previous tractor, operator comfort was top of mind for Dan’s upgrade.
“When you're out on the farm for 13-plus hours a day like me, comfort is a major component. The improved cab suspension, more comfortable seat and quieter cabin make a real difference over a long day, while the improved visibility from the cab helps make everyday tasks easier and more efficient. When you're spending that much time behind the wheel, those improvements really add up,” Dan said.
According to Mark Crakanthorp, New Holland Product Manager, the T5 Dual Command is designed for farmers seeking the technology, comfort and capability of a larger tractor in a versatile utility-focused package.
“Australian farmers are looking for equipment that can perform across a wide range of tasks while improving efficiency and operator comfort. The T5 Dual Command combines proven New Holland technology, precision farming capability and loader-focused performance in a package that's built for the demands of modern farming,” Mark said.
The series can be optioned with a 12-inch touchscreen shared with larger New Holland tractors, configurable operator settings and factory-ready precision farming technology.
For the first time in the T5 range, customers can order the tractor GPS-ready from the factory, enabling guidance, precision application and future connectivity without the need for aftermarket solutions.
Designed as a loader-focused tractor for fodder conservation, dairy and mixed farming operations, the T5 combines global tractor technology with a locally engineered loader solution.
The New Holland T5 Dual Command series is now available through New Holland dealers across Australia. Available in both the T5.100 and T5.120, the range combines the comfort, technology, and capability expected of a larger tractor in a highly versatile package.
