BigBaler High Density Large Square Balers

The standard poly tine bands provide low friction and a flat surface for smoother crop flow and quieter operation. Additionally, their flexibility and high wear resistance extend the life of the tines, which means less maintenance for you. For even greater durability on the roughest terrain or when quickly baling windrows, heavy-duty gauge wheels are available with your choice of fixed or castering arm designs.

Cutting crop as it’s fed into the baler delivers shorter particle lengths, which results in tighter material packing and greater bale density. Cutting material with up to 29 spring-protected knives can help improve silage bale fermentation, feed digestibility, bale breakup and mixing, and material absorbency. Added density can also mean more weight per bale and more tons per truck, providing even greater savings for you.

The high-capacity packer model features three, three-tine packer forks made of Hardox®-brand steel that deliver performance, durability, and wear resistance. To match the baler's high throughput, the packer driveline is upgraded to handle up to 25% more power than BigBaler PLUS models.

The BigBaler 340 High Density can deliver up to 22% higher-density bales than other conventional large square balers, and up to 15% more when compared to the BigBaler 340 PLUS.

A new, even more robust frame has been designed to withstand higher-density loads created by the baler. The new main gearbox is mounted to the top beam to reduce crop accumulation underneath and increase durability. Additionally, the drawbar is not part of the main frame to facilitate height adjustment via the dedicated height adjustment rods, which is convenient when baling with different tractors.

High density does not mean hard starting. When the machine is stopped, the smart brake stops the plunger away from the bale face. Since the plunger does not press on the bale face at startup, initial harsh-starting torque loads are virtually eliminated.

Delivering up to a 26% increase in overall tensile strength for reduced breakages, the Loop Master™ double knotting system forms the first knot in each bale with a loop style, which is 37% stronger compared to a standard or conventional large square baler knot. Perhaps more importantly, this knotting system eliminates twine offcuts, resulting in cleaner fields and feed – a great advantage for export hay producers. This system saves nearly four miles of twine every 10,000 bales.

You can stay in touch with your machines at all times and even send and receive real-time information, helping to save you time and enhance your productivity.  

The Farm tab on the New Holland FieldOps™ portal is where you can analyze all field data transferred on the New Holland FieldOps™ network. Even better, you can map bale data. This information is recorded in real time while baling, then automatically uploads via the connected vehicle. This data is also available on the New Holland FieldOps™ Farm mobile app, which can be used by a telehandler or loader tractor operator to selectively load bales. When equipped, the moisture, weight, location, density, and flake count is recorded for each bale.

For easy servicing, a single-piece, two-stage front hood easily glides open on gas struts. The shield opens partially for fast access to all service points, or fully for complete access to all areas for cleaning.
