New Holland machinery dealership Roger Gill Agriculture has made a significant investment in the future of New Zealand agriculture with the opening of a bigger and more modern branch in Pukekohe.

The Gill family have a proud history in the area, running businesses in Pukekohe for more than 100 years. Phillip Gill now runs Roger Gill Agriculture, which had its beginnings with his father Roger in the 1980s, and which has dealerships in Huntly and Whangarei and Pukekohe. They also operate a motor vehicle division, Roger Gill Motors.

The Pukekohe branch of Roger Gill Agriculture has now undergone a major revamp, with a relocation to a significantly bigger site in the town. Double the size of the previous branch, the new 5500sq m site on Paerata Rd features a 1400sq m premises and ample space to house the business’ large range of New Holland machinery.

“There were always plans for a bigger location, and once we started New Holland machinery in 2023, the need for new facilities became even more urgent,” said dealer principal Phil Gill.

“We are so proud of this new site and premises, which gives us the room we need to properly showcase both brands and offer our customers a completely new state-of-the-art servicing facility and larger spare parts area.

“The reaction from our customers, and our staff, has been so positive and the benefits have been immediate.”

Phil said the significant investment in the new premises reflected their belief in the local agriculture sector and their desire to provide the level of service and support their customers deserved.

Roger Gill Agriculture offers a wide range of tractors, balers and harvesting equipment  to cater to the diverse cross-section of farming operations, and across the agriculture and motor vehicle divisions, there’s 60 staff.

John Gilbert, CNH Business Manager - New Zealand was at the official opening to congratulate the Roger Gill team.

“Opening a facility like this is a significant commitment - not just financially, but to your people, your customers, and this community,” John said.

“Pukekohe is a critically important agricultural region for New Zealand, particularly across horticulture, dairy, and mixed farming. Today’s opening sends a clear message to farmers here: you have a dealer invested in your success.”

“This new branch strengthens the ability to deliver what our customers value most: parts availability; modern workshop and diagnostic capability; and knowledgeable and experienced teams who understand their machinery.” John said.
