  • ENGINEERING EXCELLENCE

The mid-range combine harvesters of the updated CX5 and CX6 series are manufactured at the New Holland plant in Płock, Poland. Their development was carried out in close collaboration with New Holland’s international Harvesting Technology Centre of Excellence, located in Zedelgem, Belgium — a site that holds a special place in agricultural history.

It was in Zedelgem, over 100 years ago, that Leon Claeys built his first threshing machine, sparking a revolution in harvesting technology. Since 1952, when the first self-propelled combine harvester in Europe was produced at the local factory, the town has become firmly associated with cutting-edge harvesting machinery.

Today, the Zedelgem facility continues to produce next-generation combines and agricultural equipment. Powered by advanced design technologies and the expertise of dedicated engineers and workers at one of the world’s most advanced manufacturing sites, the CX5 and CX6 model range — alongside New Holland’s flagship machines such as the CR Twin Rotor™ combines, BigBaler large square balers, and FR forage harvesters — remains a benchmark in harvesting excellence.

  • HIGH-PERFORMANCE GRAIN HEADERS FOR CX SERIES COMBINES

Header throughput is a key factor in ensuring effective threshing and grain cleaning. A large-diameter reel with easy adjustment, retractable fingers across the full width of the intake auger, and an aggressive cutting system ensure a smooth and continuous flow of high crop volumes from the header into the combine.

Thanks to the quick-coupling header interface and integrated header reverse function, there’s no wasted time when attaching the header or clearing blockages.

  • A PERFECT MATCH

New Holland specialists have developed a range of 5-, 6-, and 8-row maize headers engineered to work in perfect harmony with the CX5 and CX6 combine series. Extensive field testing has proven the high performance and reliability of all models — both rigid and folding frame versions.

  • OPTIMIZED CROP FLOW

The feeder housing on CX5 and CX6 combines is equipped with four chains and enhanced slat mounting, ensuring a smoother and more continuous crop flow from the header to the threshing drum. This significantly reduces the risk of crop bunching — even in the most challenging harvesting conditions — and helps maintain the combine’s optimal throughput.

  • TWO OR FOUR-DRUM CONFIGURATION — BOTH AVAILABLE WITH OPTI-SPEED™

New Holland CX5 and CX6 combine harvesters are available with either a basic threshing drum and beater setup or a four-drum configuration featuring the Opti-Thresh™ system. This advanced setup includes a rotary separator and Straw Flow™ beater, along with a rear concave segment adjustment for the threshing drum. The Opti-Thresh™ system allows for precise threshing adjustment across a wide variety of crops and harvesting conditions, delivering clean, gentle threshing with minimal straw damage — all without compromising throughput. The design of the beater’s adjustable plates has also been improved to enhance straw release from the drum while keeping grain damage to a minimum. As an optional upgrade on CX6 models, the Ultra-Flow™ threshing drum with segmented rasp bars further enhances threshing performance. Its staggered, sectional layout is optimized for small-grain crops and also suitable for maize harvesting. This design ensures smoother crop flow through the combine, reduces noise levels in the cab, lowers fuel consumption and the risk of blockages, and increases overall throughput. The system also benefits from longer service life thanks to its durable wear-resistant components. Additionally, all CX5 and CX6 models are equipped with the Opti-Speed™ automatic straw walker speed adjustment system — a proven solution previously used on the higher-capacity CX7 and CX8 series. Opti-Speed™ boosts combine performance by compensating for slope gradients: when moving uphill, straw walker speed decreases to retain material longer and improve grain separation; when moving downhill, speed increases to prevent straw from sliding forward and obstructing crop flow.

  • CONSISTENTLY CLEAN GRAIN

The cleaning system on New Holland CX5 and CX6 combines is perfectly balanced with the high throughput of the threshing and separation system. It features large, adjustable sieves with opposing movement, a powerful and precisely directed airflow, and a range of highly efficient technologies — including the three-stage Triple-Clean™ system, the Smart Sieve™ system that ensures even grain distribution across the sieves when operating on side slopes, and the Opti-Fan™ system that automatically adjusts airflow based on the combine’s longitudinal incline.

  • HIGH-CAPACITY GRAIN HANDLING AND UNLOADING SYSTEM

Fast grain unloading speeds ensure maximum efficiency during harvesting operations. Our combines feature long unloading augers — available in 4.75 m, 5.5 m, and the new 6.4 m versions — mounted high on the grain tank. This allows for easy unloading into high-sided trailers without complications. Excellent visibility of the unloading auger enables a smooth, even grain flow without interrupting harvesting progress. Large-capacity grain tanks provide a high level of autonomy in the field.

  • A PROFESSIONAL APPROACH TO CHAFF AND STRAW MANAGEMENT

The wide range of settings in the threshing, separation, and cleaning systems allows the natural structure of the straw to be preserved when it needs to be baled for later use. When chopping is required instead, it’s essential to do it properly — especially for farms that operate under minimum tillage practices.

  • POWERFUL. RELIABLE. BUILT FOR YOU. BUILT TO LAST.

One of the key advantages of the CX5 and CX6 combine harvester range is the use of NEF and Cursor 9 engines from FPT Industrial. Compliant with Tier 3 emissions standards, these environmentally friendly power units deliver outstanding performance, enhanced operating efficiency, and excellent fuel economy.

  • NEW HARVEST SUITE™ DELUXE CAB

Specifically designed for the CX5 and CX6 combine range, the new Harvest Suite™ Deluxe cab is now 20 cm wider and even more spacious. Key features include an adjustable steering column with a smaller-diameter wheel, delivering enhanced comfort and improved visibility of the header. Additional work lights are now standard, and full-width grab rails have been added at the front of the cab to simplify cleaning and washing. Inside, the updated controls include two USB ports, and an optional heated floor mat is available. The cab now offers a volume of 3.7 m³ and 6.3 m² of glazed area, while interior noise levels remain below 73 dB(A), providing a truly quiet and calm working environment. All of this is complemented by a new automotive-style interior in a sleek dark grey color scheme, extending across the seat, headliner, and armrest. The new Harvest Suite™ Deluxe cab is your personal island of space and comfort.

  • EFFORTLESSLY MAXIMISING PERFORMANCE

Automated control systems save time that would otherwise be spent on manual adjustments, while also enhancing overall combine performance. On CX5 and CX6 combines, all key systems are operated via the CommandGrip™ multifunction lever, a proven solution long recognized for its comfort and effectiveness on New Holland self-propelled machinery. CommandGrip™ is integrated into the side control console, conveniently positioned to the operator’s right. The console itself can be moved into the most comfortable position for each operator. The lever allows forward speed to be adjusted based on the pressure applied, and once the desired speed is reached, it automatically returns to its original, ergonomically optimized position.
