New Holland launches new TH Series telehandlers with extended offering and new transmission

New Holland Agriculture extends and upgrades its six to nine meter telehandler offering, which introduces the new naming and livery. The new naming consists of the TH letters, for Telescopic Handler, and the numbering based on the key machine specifications: this combination provides a quick and easy product identification, a hallmark of New Holland products. The bright yellow of the new livery fully integrates the telehandler range into New Holland’s Harvesting family, benefiting from its well-known expertise in the sector, while the new dark grey color of the lower part of the machine confers a sense of solidity and strength. The cab interior has been refreshed with a new look for the seat.
“The new extended TH Series offers solutions tailored to the business and operational requirements of different farming operations, ranging from the entry level S version all the way up to the Elite version ideal for the large scale livestock farmers and contractors, as well as biomass operations,” says Sean Lennon, Head of Tractors.

New Holland celebrates 100 years since the introduction of the first FIAT Tractor with Fiat Centenario Limited edition range

New Holland celebrates the 100th anniversary since the first Fiat tractor rolled off the assembly line. Model 702 was developed to address the labour shortage in agriculture as World War I was reaching its final stages. Increasing the sector’s productivity was urgently needed and mechanisation was the way to overcome the lack of manpower and to plough effectively the hard soil of the fields neglected during the war. Model 702 provided the solution with its innovative approach. It was specifically developed to meet the requirements of the widest variety of static and dynamic applications, with its 4-cylinder engine, rear-wheel drive, a steering front axle and rigid rear axle – an unusual choice at the time. Model 702 also broke with conventional design by adopting the approach of the Fordson tractor that featured a load-bearing powertrain which eliminated the need for a chassis. It differed from the Fordson machine –designed for the loose soil and extensive mostly level fields in North America – in that it was more powerful and perfectly adapted to the difficult soil and frequently sloping fields that European farmers had to deal with.
