New Holland Agriculture makes big impact at SIAM show with fuel efficient, low emissions technologies and advanced Precision Farming solutions

New Holland showcased its efficient farming solutions at the SIAM 2014 Moroccan International Agricultural Show, which was held in Meknès from April 24th to May 3rd.
Visitors were welcomed on the 2,000 m2 outdoor stand by sales teams from New Holland and its long-time importer SOMMA, who guided them through the products and services available to them from New Holland and explained about the equipment on display, starting with the TD5 tractor, which was very well accepted in the market since its launch at last year’s edition of the show and is now available with factory fitted loader. Also on show was the brand new TD4040F orchard tractor, the TT, TD and TD5 range of tractors, and a BC5000 baler. Centre stage was the Precision Land Management display module, illustrating the benefits of New Holland’s advanced precision farming technology.
“The SIAM show is very important for us at New Holland, and once again we are very pleased with the lively interest that our stand attracted,” commented Hicham El Mouktafi, New Holland Business Manager for North and West Africa. “Visitors were very impressed with our offering of rugged, easy to use, fuel efficient, highly productive products and technologies, which are just for the specific requirements of African farming.”

TD5 Series now with front loader: the five-star multi-purpose tractor

New Holland launched at the SIAM show the factory fitted front loader specially designed for the successful TD5 Series tractors. Made from the strongest and most reliable material in the market, the fully integrated loader further extends the TD5’s extreme versatility, making it the perfect multi-purpose tractor. The tractor’s powershuttle transmission, which delivers silky smooth direction changes, is ideally suited for precision loader work, for example in livestock applications. The powerful engine delivers a big performance with exceptionally low fuel consumption. Fuel efficiency, power, premium comfort, versatility and productivity: the TD5 Series’ Five star tractor evolution.

New TD4000F orchard tractor: compact, powerful and versatile

The new orchard tractors pack a powerful performance in a compact package. The new Tier 3 four-cylinder engines deliver torque reserves of up to 46%, while the exceptional fuel efficiency and long service intervals result in minimal operating costs. The proven Synchro Shuttle™ transmission is easy to use and is perfect for fine tuning forward speed to a variety of applications for maximum productivity. These robust, easy to use tractors excel in versatility – low profile and narrow, they can be what the farmer needs them to be for every type of application.

Low emissions from the Clean Energy Leader

New Holland’s offering on display at the SIAM show is testament to New Holland’s forward looking approach to sustainability and respect for the environment. Anticipating the increasingly stringent emissions regulations in Morocco, all tractors on the stand feature New Holland’s low emissions engine technologies and comply with either Tier 2 or Tier 3 standards. New Holland’s advanced engine technology was illustrated with a cutaway of one of its engines on display on the stand. New Holland’s low emissions offering is a result of its Clean Energy Leader strategy that aims to offer customers a wide choice of solutions to improve their efficiency and productivity while respecting the environment.

Efficient farming with Precision Land Management

New Holland’s PLM specialist, Ezio Garesio, together with a representative from the brand’s technological partner Trimble, made presentations every day of the show. They demonstrated the features and benefits of the guidance solutions, the PLM software to analyse yield data and fine tune inputs, and the telematics systems to synchronise in-field working between machines. Visitors to the stand could also view the informative PLM display module and learn more about the ways New Holland’s advanced precision farming technology can help them maximize their farm’s efficiency and minimize costs.

A successful SIAM show

The 9th edition of the SIAM show was very successful, attracting a big public estimated at around 850,000, many of whom visited the New Holland stand. The sales teams from New Holland and its long-time importer SOMMA, Groupe Auto Hall, were on hand to explain to visitors how they are able to support them in their businesses with products and services. Numerous visitors to the stand showed a strong interest for purchasing New Holland equipment.
