New Holland’s T4 F/N/V range of premium specialty tractors has drawn strong interest from viticulture and horticulture farmers, business owners, managers and operators from around Australia, since it was first launched around 18 months ago.

The flagship of the range is the T4.120F, praised for its power, comfort, and precision, along with its flat floor design, pressurised cabin, and smooth ride, has made it the top choice for growers seeking performance and ease of use.

Cameron Rae, Dealer Principal of New Holland dealer Southern Machinery in Tasmania, said the T4.120F was especially suited for specialty crops like cherries and grapes, with its popularity rising among vineyards and large growers.

“It’s also excellent for apples, blueberries, or any intensive interrow applications. In the Kingston region, the T4 has become a standout choice with appeal across a range of operations,” he said.

“Compared to other tractors in its class, the usability and ergonomics are second to none. Farmers love the improved vision it offers—it really helps them stay efficient and precise in their work.

“One of the biggest upgrades over previous models is the fully flat floor. It’s so much more comfortable for operators, making it easier to get in and out of the cab, and reducing fatigue during long days.

“Another favourite feature among operators is the Blue Cab 4 pressurised cabin with advanced filtration. Since these tractors are often used for spraying, this feature protects the operator, ensuring their safety and comfort.”

Cameron said the T4 is powered by a robust 120 HP engine, packing serious power into a small package.

“The front suspended axle is another highlight—it provides a smoother ride, better traction, and keeps all four wheels on the ground, reducing slippage and increasing efficiency.

“The fully programmable rear remotes are another appealing feature. Operators can control pressure and flow directly from the cabin, all at their fingertips. This makes controlling sprayers so much easier and more precise.”

CNH Product & Portfolio Manager - Small Tractor – ANZ, Mark Crakanthorp said the T4.120 F was the ‘Swiss Army knife’ of the range due to its versatility and suitability for a variety of industries in the Australian market.

“The T4F can handle a wide range of high-value tree and orchard crops and is adaptable to different row/spacing requirements that are common in Australian agriculture.

"For table grapes, the width of the tractor cab is a crucial factor. You need to avoid any damage to the vines to preserve the crop's value, so the T4F's dimensions are really important there.

“In Australia, the commercial vineyards are often built around the width of the tractors, rather than the other way around. That's why New Holland also offers the narrower T4V model which is better suited for more established or very tight vine plantings.”

Mark said minimising operator fatigue and enhancing comfort were crucial considerations for the T4F given the long, continuous shifts operators often endure.

"Adding the cab suspension in the T4F was a significant upgrade. It enhances the ride quality and overall comfort, creating a more pleasant operating environment. Importantly, it reduces in cab noise an operation feedback.

"We've integrated the hydraulic functions right into the mid-mount valve. This makes the controls more 'tactile' and less fatiguing for the operator to use.

"The 'super steer' feature allows for a tight turning radius. This reduces stress on the operator during headland turns, especially with linkage-mounted implements."

"These comfort and ergonomic improvements in the cab design are crucial. Reducing operator fatigue helps maintain productivity - that's a key part of the value proposition for the T4 in this market."
