New Holland TD3.50 ROPS platform 4WD tractors have earned a reputation for dependable and versatile performance in the sub-50hp category. Combined with a proven record for low whole life operating costs, the TD3.50 is the tractor of choice for estates, small farms, dairy units and as a general workhorse across a wide range of enterprises. Designed to operate day in and day out with minimal demands for fuel and maintenance, a TD3.50 is the dependable small tractor choice. New Holland has now made the 48hp TD3.50 even better. Fitted with a new higher capacity FPT Tier 3 complaint engine, the TD3.50 develops the same nominal output as before but with a massive 40% hike in torque. And that is not all. The rear linkage has been redesigned and is even stronger, with lift capacity increased by a useful 750kg to a class leading 2,200kg. Other developments include improved ergonomics, a traditional ‘H’ gearshift pattern and the relocation of the reverse shuttle lever to the left of the steering wheel. By reducing the overall length, stability is improved too, the tractor having a longer wheelbase to enhance its performance when fitted with a front loader or heavy mounted attachment. With its stylish new look, greater torque, higher lift capacity, improved comfort and proven rugged build, the TD3.50 now offers even better performance and value.     NEW LEVELS OF POWER AND PERFORMANCE

    Specifically developed for demanding tractor applications, and proven in the New Holland TD5 tractor series, the 48hp three-cylinder S8000 engine develops a massive 190Nm of torque at just 1,400rpm. This is 40% more than the previous generation TD3.50. With a capacity of 2,930cc, up from 2,216cc, the new engine offers smooth turbocharged performance up to its rated speed of 2,200rpm. Thanks to the improved torque, the engine can be operated at lower speeds to reduce fuel consumption with a 540rpm PTO speed achievable at just 2016 engine rpm, more than 20% lower than its predecessor.

    SYNCHRO SHUTTLE™ SIMPLICITY

    Offering eight forward and reverse speeds, the Synchro Shuttle transmission is simple to use, with easy selection of the desired ratio. The repositioned shuttle lever makes changing direction faster, a real plus when operating a TD3.50 with a front loader. The shift pattern is revised to the traditional ‘H’ pattern.

    SIMPLE CONTROLS

    With its revised gearshift pattern, repositioned shuttle lever and new throttle and Lift-o-Matic layout, the new TD3.50 is even easier to operate. A revised instrument cluster makes it easier to read the dials in bright sun, with enhanced protection. The foot pedals are repositioned to make them more comfortable.

    GREATER LIFT

    Operated by a new lever quadrant, the rear three-point linkage has up to 50% greater lift than the previous generation, the TD3.50 now having a rated capacity of 2,200kg. That is a 750kg increase. In work, the tractor will raise mounted loads faster. A new cast front axle mount and a 73mm increase in the wheelbase enhance stability too, allowing a TD3.50 to operate larger attachments. Proven Lift-o-Matic ‘raise lower’ system makes lifting an attachment and returning to work faster too.
