New Holland presents the new T7.340 HD with PLM Intelligence
  • New entry in New Holland’s high-horsepower tractor portfolio
  • Extends maximum performance of T7 Heavy Duty line to 340hp
  • Improves productivity with features such as Integrated Baler Control mode
  • Uptime Pack Plus provides extended warranty, maximized customer support solutions and operator training

New Holland Agriculture is launching a new flagship model for its T7 HD tractor range, taking the power of the line into new territory with the addition of the T7.340 HD with PLM Intelligence. The 340hp (max) new tractor inherits its styling and key features from the established 288hp (max) T7.290 HD and 313hp (max) T7.315 HD tractors, which remain in the range, but offers more power packaged within the same dimension and weight figures. It also includes new technology pioneered on the recently-introduced T7.300 LWB, the largest tractor in the range beneath the T7 HD line.

Extending the reach of the HD further into the high horsepower segment, the T7.340 HD is powered by an FPT Industrial ECOBlue™ HI-eSCR 2 Stage V NEF engine with 750-hour service intervals that are up to 50% longer than some competitors. With an upgraded cylinder head, pistons and cooling, the engine’s peak torque is 1,353Nm, and it produces a maximum 340hp under all conditions, to deliver the characteristics required for demanding PTO applications. At 630 litres, the T7.340 HD has the largest fuel capacity in this segment, for more time between fills.

New Holland’s AutoCommand 50km/hr continuously-variable transmission benefits from driveline upgrades including a higher capacity hydro unit and new gears, plus a higher capacity rear differential, all helping provide more drawbar performance for cultivations. The result is a blend of high power capabilities and mid-sized tractor maneuverability, plus an increased power to weight ratio. Implement handling needs are met by an 11,058kg-capacity rear hitch, 6,016kg capacity optional front hitch, up to five rear remote valves and up to three front remotes, all supplied by a 165 or optional 220 litres/min closed circuit hydraulic system. Speeds on the enhanced PTO drive are 540, 540E, 1,000 and 1000E rpm, to suit a range of applications, while the front PTO offers 1000 and 1000E, maximizing fuel saving for low power tasks.

Along with the two smaller T7 HD tractors, the new T7.340 HD also benefits from technology introduced on the largest model in the range below, the recently-launched T7.300 with PLM Intelligence. This includes Integrated Large Square Baler Control, which enhances operator comfort by optimizing the interaction between the tractor and an attached baler. By anticipating the baler’s crop compression stroke, it maintains a more consistent engine and PTO speed, cuts cab movement by 15% and reduces fuel consumption by up to 12% through the baling cycle.

The T7.340 HD also introduces greater levels of connectivity to the T7 HD range. It integrates Tractor Implement Management, which allows transfer of information to and from a connected compatible implement to boost productivity by providing a degree of control of the tractor – for example, automatically altering forward speed relative to swath density when baling.

As with other T7 HD tractors, the operator can adjust key operating controls for maximum comfort via the SideWinder Ultra armrest, the standard ISOBUScompatible IntelliView™ 12 touchscreen terminal and an optional second IntelliView™ 12 screen for further customization and clarity, plus IntelliTurn™ and Headland Turn Sequencer II to deliver an automated headland turn, steering and operating the implement, triggered by the GPS headland mark. Other cab comfort features include enhanced sound insulation, reducing noise levels to an industry-leading 66dBA, plus more storage and the option of the unique CentreView™ tractor data display that puts essential information in the driver’s eyeline at the centre of the steering wheel. Active Comfort Ride™ cab suspension enhances comfort and productivity in the field and on the road, while improved climate control enhances the cab atmosphere and a 360° LED lighting package eases night work.
