his summer CNH Industrial opened its new
manufacturing complex in Heilongjiang
Province: the biggest agricultural equipment
production plant in north-east China. It covers
116,000 squaremetres of a 40-hectare site, all with
the latest manufacturing technology and state-of-
the-art facilities. The new complex will manufacture
planters, tractors, combine harvesters and
corn pickers with their headers, balers and hay
tools. Its productionwill include a complete
line of equipment for themechanization of
the full cycle of corn, wheat, soybean and
hay production. Among its products will be
the award-winning NewHolland T6000 and
T7000 tractor ranges and the BC5000 baler.
The factory will feature innovations such
as AutomatedGuided Vehicles that will be
used for assembly and testing of products,
an outdoor test track, hi-tech painting halls
and a Research and Development Centre. The
factory also hosts a Customer Centrewith a
large showroom for dealers and customers.
These facilities are complemented by the
nearby spare parts depot and Training Centre.
“Through our agricultural equipment brands
we have been present in China for more than
100 years,” said Richard Tobin, CEO of CNH
Industrial. “Our newmanufacturing complex
here in Harbin represents an investment of
over USD $100million and its inauguration
marks an important milestone that confirms
our commitment to the development of
Chinese agriculture.”
