Catalyst (DOC) oxidises the
exhaust gas, guaranteeing
the bestmix between
nitrogen oxide (NO) and
nitrogen dioxide (NO
2
), and
increasing the conversion
efficiency of the SCR
catalyst.
A big bonus is that the
system actually boosts
engine performance.
Horsepower, torque and
EPM band all show increases
in the new Tier 4B engines,
and fluid consumption
(diesel plus DEF/AdBlue)
will remain the same, if not
better than, with the Tier 4A
engines. Operating costs
will actually reduce over the
lifespan of the engine, and
service intervals have been
maintained at 600 hours.
Operation is extremely
simple: theDEF/AdBlue
tank is filled alongside the
diesel tank, andwill provide
continuous operation
with the same range and
autonomy as the fuel tank.
DEF/AdBluewill be available
throughCNH Industrial Parts
& Service: your local dealers
will not only have it in stock,
theywill be able to deliver
it directly to your farm for
absolute convenience.
Thenew ECOBlue™Hi-eSCR
technologywill be used for
products deliveringmore
than 120 hp. A light Cooled
Exhaust Gas Recirculation
(CEGR), together with a
compact SCR system, has
been developed for lower
poweredmachines.
With its Tier 4B innovations,
NewHolland confirms
its role as Clean Energy
Leader
®
: for the fourth
consecutive year CNH
Industrial has been named
Sector Leader in the
Dow Jones Sustainability
Indices (DJSI)World and
Europe. It’s a recognition
of the success story of
thiswinning strategy that
involves not only the final
product, but also the entire
manufacturing process.
All CNH Industrial plants
participate in the stringent
WorldClassManufacturing
programme, and energy
reduction is a key
requirement. To date, 13
plants have achieved the
prestigious ISO 50001
certification in energy
management and all New
Holland plants areworking
towards the ambitious
target of reducing energy
consumption by 15 per cent
by 2014.
Also, CNH Industrial
research for new products
and developments
continues.
The fullyworkingmethane
prototype tractor has 80
per cent lower emissions
than a standard tractor
and is a key step to
energy independence. A
futuremethane/hydrogen
tractor will further reduce
emissions. TheNH2™
hydrogen tractor within the
Energy Independent Farm
generates zero emissions
and offers farmers true
energy independence. This
is another example of the
amount of investment from
NewHolland in the future of
Clean Energy farming.
NewHolland confirms its role
asCleanEnergy Leader
with95per cent reduction inemissions
over thepast 15 years.
Over the last 15 years New Holland has improved the emissions of its engines
by 180 times. To put it simply, this means that 180 days of operation, or six
months without interruption, generate the same emissions as a single day in
1996. This includes both NOx (Nitrogen Oxides) and particulate matter.
Both these toxic emissions have been reduced by 95 per cent.
This has a huge impact on the carbon footprint of a farm, with lower overall
operating costs and higher efficiency. And farmers will continue to benefit
from the power, torque and torque back-up that have made New Holland
products famous throughout the world.
