MEDICAL AMBULANCE

This project is being implemented in 18 villages adjacent to Greater Noida Plant for people who are deprived of basic healthcare services due to lack of accessible services, finances or old age. The objective of the project is to reach underserved areas by taking healthcare to the doorstep of the people & catering to their primary health care needs using a Mobile Medical Unit. More than 17000 patients were treated with the help of the medical ambulance in 2019. Project is continuing with more awareness created about the project during visits to villages to create community connect with the CSR Intervention.

The COVID-19 pandemic is critically straining health systems worldwide. It is likely that health seeking may be deferred because of social/physical distancing requirements or community reluctance owing to perceptions that health facilities may be infected. During these conditions, the role of Mobile medical units can provide access to healthcare especially for displaced or isolated individuals and, as a longstanding community-based service delivery model, they fill gaps in the healthcare safety-net, reaching social-economically underserved populations in both urban and rural areas. These significantly try and decrease the burden that falls over Primary Health Centre’s especially in these difficult times when social distancing has become the common norm.

INTERVENTION ON COVID-19
The aim is to reach maximum number of beneficiaries in the community and providing them with information and guidance regarding precaution from corona virus. People were sensitized on COVID-19. 3-4 Awareness session on Covid-19 has been conducted within the community. Health Talk on prevention of COVID-19 and sensitized on personal hygiene and hand washing. Distribution of leaflets and pamphlets in the community and home visits. One to one counseling of the patients visiting the SoW and counselling of the family members during home visits.
